Job description

Responsibilities
Work directly with designated suppliers to maintain accurate WIP data, ensure timely and accurate production risk reporting, and negotiate better deliveries were possible
Subject Matter Expert for the supplier community on vendor change request process (PO Slide), WIP management expectations, and special shipping requirements for specific customers (Costco, Sam's, Wal-Mart, etc...)
Communicate with both internal teams (US Operations, Product Development & Sourcing and Satellite Offices) and suppliers to proactively support execution of Ready to Wear manufacturing activities, escalate high risk orders and realized operational issues as appropriate
Collaborate cross functionally to solve supply related issues; identify and mitigate pre-production development and manufacturing risks, outlining possible root causes and potential solutions
Monitor timely shipment booking request and shipment closure utilizing automated reporting for designated suppliers
Maintain accurate and timely system records, follow production management processes, utilize data to analyze and report under-performing vendors and identify supply risks
Collect supplier capacity capabilities at the beginning of the season, as well as ensure that move-up production plans are executed
Deliver global production risk, slide summary, and supplier performance analyses, as required
Provide external training to suppliers on production management processes, eSPS Purchase Order slide module, and Intellimas, WIP module

Profile

Bachelor degree or equivalent in Supply Chain or Fashion Merchandising focus
Minimum 3+ Years prior working experience as part of a supply chain or operations team at a large scale buying/ sourcing office
Good understand and knowledge of Apparel manufacturing and end to end Supply Chain processes
Ability to engage vendor & build partnerships under challenging environment and tight deadlines
Well organized, systematic, strong analytical and problem solving skills, can work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to anticipate risks and identify contingency plan and processes to prevent disruptions when risks occur
Proficient in spoken and written English & Chinese, good communication skills & capable in providing direction and conveying concepts
Excellent in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint & Advanced Excel e.g. VLook Up, Pivot Table, VBA etc.)
