Production Support Manager (Textile)

My client is an international buying office with a large sourcing office in Hong Kong, they are looking for a candidate who has good quality background with production quality management experience to lead the production support team.

Job description

Responsibilities:

* Manage and provide guidelines to all production support team members
* Manage and review the QC allocation and in-line and final line procedures and make sure the on time deliveries
* Provide training to the team, vendor and supplier to ensure they are qualified to conduct product inspections
* Attend QA meeting, handle risk assessments, supplier and 3rd parties lab meeting
* Conduct confidential random factory audits and inspections when requested
* Provide manufacturing technical support and establish procedures to reduce manufacturing costs and / or improve quality levels and production efficiency
* Work with the Process Improvement team to produce set, comprehensive reports including traffic light reporting of QC team inspections results, non-conformances and activities of suppliers or factories
* Drive continuous improvement, simplification and efficiencies of the QC processes
* Effectively communicate and coordinate merchandising team in all quality issues

Requirements:

* Degree or above in textile or related discipline
* At least 10 years' experience in sizable company in Europe garment market with at least 5 years' experience in managerial level
* In depth technical knowledge in raw materials and woven / knit / sweater garment
* Solid experience in Production process improvement
* Excellent communication and problem solving skills
* Strong communication skills and computer literacy (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
* Good command of both spoken and written English. Proficiency in other languages (e.g. Chinese or other Asian languages) is an advantage
* Frequent travel to factories (50%)
