Profile

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Quality Management, Applied Science or a related discipline
At least 15 years’ relevant experience in quality engineering and management, with substantial exposure to garment manufacturing industry
Familiar with garment industry, national and international standards on quality management and product safety standards
Strong leadership, self-motivated, high level of integrity, good team player, sophisticated interpersonal skills with all levels
Business Travel to South East Asia is required
Good communication and presentation skills
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua)
Key Responsibilities and Accountability:
Develop and implement quality strategies, plans and systems to ensure products to be in compliance with customer requirements
Establish, implement and monitor quality systems to ensure compliance with appropriate international standards
Support the manufacture in ensuring compliance with industry certification of compliance
Act as the main point of contact on all quality matters, both internally and externally
Lead and coordinate with respective departments to perform investigations of discrepancies, failures, complaints or any adverse issues and take necessary actions to resolve them and prevent their recurrence, when necessary
Maintain adequate competent quality staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
Maintain adequate and capable equipment to perform the necessary tests in house
Maintain an awareness of new or proposed legislation, and international, national or industry standards that impact the business and communicate any necessary actions to management
Support the Group in developing and enhancing its quality culture by implementing continual improvement programmes
