POSITION PURPOSE
The Accountant is to support the Shared Services team in the financial reporting and controlling for Aesop's South Asia Retail businesses as well as Asia Regional Office.

Job description

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
 Daily Accounting Operation
  General Ledger and Internal Control
 

  •  Perform sales reconciliations and accounts receivable management
     

  •  Handle voucher receivables and investigate unmatched deposits
     

  •  Review the accounts receivable aging reports & assist in credit review process
     

  •  Liaise and work closely with internal/external stakeholders & business partners
      Month-end Reporting
     

    •  Handle general ledger, journal preparation and general accounting matters
       

    •  Assist in monthly SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) submission & strengthen the internal control in compliance with group policy and accounting standards
        Statutory Audit and Tax
       

      •  Involve in month end closing activities and year end processes
         

      •  Prepare month end schedules & financial reports
          Ad-hoc Assignments
         

        •  Support and assist in the audit schedules preparation
           

        •  Obtain the information necessary for the finalisation of audit & tax filing
            Execution
           Taking accountability for achieving goals, and tenaciously completing work of consistent excellence

           Analysing information and committing to a course of action.

           Building and maintaining the relationships needed to achieve results.

          •  Participate in ad-hoc assignments, process improvement activities and support in company projects
             

Profile

Requirements: 

  •  Degree holder in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline

  •  Solid accounting experience in MNC or retail company

  •  Self-motivated, responsible, well-organized, detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadline

  •  A good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  •  Proficient in MS office especially in excel, word & powerpoint

  •  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

  •  Knowledge in Netsuite is a plus
