Job description

Business Development Manager - Asia/SEA/NEA

Location: Hong Kong / Korea / Shanghai

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY

As a Business Development Manager :


  • Develop strategic business plans and revenue projection plans
  • Identify new business opportunities in the Travel Retail channel and Local Market channel. Acquire new markets throughout Asia while maximizing account profitability
  • Negotiate space and enhance global brand visibility within-group merchandising guidelines
  • Manage the existing Travel Retail accounts such as Dufry, Lagardere, Heinemann, DFS, Lotte, Shilla, etc and expand opportunities within these existing accounts. Managing the existing accounts within local market such as Sephora and Naver ( e-commerce ) creating deeper relationships.
  • Establish relationships with international buyers
  • Introduce & negotiate new product launches, promotional activities and POS actions
  • Responsible for sales management and network development within the region, achieve all sales targets of Travel Retail;
  • Analyze the Travel Retail sales performance, propose actions to ensure targets.
  • Provide support to local partners on training
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related experience
  • 8+ years of business development/sales experience in the travel retail industry and local market industry
  • Has a self-starter attitude and a strong commercial acumen
  • Strong influential and communication skills to motivate teams
  • Willingness to be close to the ground to understand the dynamics of trade and consumer needs
  • Ability to juggle several projects with different deadlines and various stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent English language and Mandarin skills
  • Driven, structured and self-organized
