The Digital Analyst works within the Asian Digital Team and is responsible for providing data analysis, actionable insights and reporting on performance of Aesop Asia digital activities to the wider business. In particular, this role will be responsible for helping to deliver analysis and insight relating to the performance of Aesop's digital properties for all markets in Asia that we operate in. Your role will work with the Global team to execute the approach for data acquisition to understand digital behaviour and how campaigns, commerce and customer service are analysed and reported on. In turn, this role will work with the Global and Regional teams to turn that data into insight to help guide commercial operation, optimisation, UX and feature enhancement efforts across our digital portfolio.

Job description


Reporting, Analysis & Insights

  • Build and manage custom dashboard to report on key metrics for the region's digital performance include own website, marketplace and social selling platform

  • Management and implementation of measurement for regular campaign/project reporting

  • Report on key metrics, analyzing and interpreting trends and provide actionable insights based on data

  • Conduct adhoc reporting on digital products performance and conversion optimizations as required

  • Provide timely and actionable insights to stakeholders

  • Data Management

    • Maintain the quality of both data input and output and ensure data used in the analytics tools is accurate and robust

    • Assist digital insights team on a Data Strategy in close collaboration with the relevant wider teams

    • Collaborate with Global team to set up and manage data product suite and ensure the appropriate updates and new features are implemented

    • Maintain the regional data dictionary to ensure definitions, calculations, data source are up-to-date and easy to understand by business users

    • Training & Development

      • Works closely with other teams/colleagues to ensure they are trained, data-led and have the data required to perform effectively in their role

      • Thorough documentation of processes and training guides

      • Stakeholder Management & Communication

        • Communication of digital data to all levels of stakeholders using various techniques, including data visualisation

        • Maintains a strong understanding of our customers, digital products and the business at all times

        • Strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

        • To succeed in this role you will be someone who can quickly synthesize information from numerous data sources (both website data and data from different systems), with a technical ability for analysis and strong communication skills to explain your work. The role requires exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with a cross disciplinary team to determine the appropriate solutions and working cohesively to deliver them.


Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is required

  • Solid experience in digital, website analytics environment

  • Experience with digital analytical tools such as GA / GA360 / Adobe Analytics, GTM / Tealium and other digital marketing tools such as HotJar etc

  • Elementary JavaScript knowledge with demonstrable experience of using this in a digital analytics context

  • Demonstrable experience working with data visualisation tools such as Excel, PowerBI, Data Studio and Tableau

  • Experience using Digital Analytic tools to assess performance of marketing/merchandising on a retail website will be an advantage

  • Basic to good understanding of digital media platforms

  • Basic to good understanding of eCommerce & digital marketing platforms, preferably in SAP Commerce and SFMC

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
