Job description

Overview

The International Trade Coordinator will be responsible for managing and expediting shipments globally, including air, ocean, and ground modes of transportation, while adhering to global compliance procedures and controls. This individual will coordinate all segments of the international supply chain process from cargo booking to service center delivery. They will be responsible for communicating information between the ITD department and internal and external business partners, as well as evaluating the performance of our service providers and make recommendations to ensure cargo is shipped and delivered at the lowest cost possible, while maintaining a high level of service. This individual should have a working knowledge of supply chain logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain desk SOPs.
  • Audit, approve and allocate service provider invoices.
  • Coordinate booking, shipment exceptions, approval with business partners to ensure timely delivery of all shipments, providing recommendations for supply chain issues and delays.
  • Understand and communicate details of cargo status and coordinate with business partners for resolution.
  • Review, analyze and problem solve issues independently to obtain resolutions.
  • Analyze air freight cost and implement measures to expedite and meet deadlines while balancing cost.
  • Manage weekly 'SED' filing and reporting process, ensuring compliance with export regulations.
  • Create/publish ITD reports.
  • Ensure records are kept in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain TMS data integrity.
Qualifications

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, journals, procedures, and government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and SOPs.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from piers, colleagues, and business partners.
  • Make decisions involving ingenuity, initiative, and judgement regarding Supply Chain processes.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with customers, associates, and management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks daily.
  • Has a sense of urgency to complete tasks and follow through for positive results.
  • Ability to work individually on tasks and projects.
  • Ability to prioritize and insight to be proactive.
  • At least 1 year of related experience and/or training, preferably in the Supply Chain field.
Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Requirements:

  • 4-year degree preferred but not required.
