- Support the Global Trade Compliance team in developing and deploying trade compliance program and procedures. Act as primary person responsible for implementation and oversight of PGS and PUMA subs
- Ensure that the company's activities are compliant with domestic and international import/export regulations, customs and sanctions requirements
- Manage and execute preferential and non-preferential requests e.g. LDC, Form A, CoOs
- Manage and apply for required Trade permits (REX)
- Conduct training on trade compliance laws and regulations, and applicable policies and procedures, to APAC-based company associates and new hires
- Establish Customs and FTA requirements for countries within the region considering PUMA's sourcing factories' locations
- Prepare and deliver training programs for PUMA employees and for the factories within the region regarding the Free Trade Agreements used by PUMA worldwide, the Certificates of Origin, the Rules of Origin and Forms / Templates required by the subs in APAC using the benefits of FTAs
- Support Global Trade Compliance team in duty optimization topics, focusing in the region
- Be the POC for Trade and Customs matters for
- brokers, agents, customs authorities, chamber of commerce and other third parties
- PUMA entities within the region, and
- Suppliers/Factories used by PUMA within the regionto resolve problems and obtain necessary clarification of questions relating to trade and customs within the region
- Update existing processes and procedures, develop new processes and write new procedures governing APAC, country specific and site-specific activities
- Assist implementation of new and existing processes, guidelines and procedures, assigned countries and assigned sites
- Consult with the Global Trade Compliance team, General Counsel APAC and outside counsel as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues
- BA Degree holder of Law, Tax, International Business, International Relations is preferred
- + 4 years experience in trade compliance , experience in Law Firm, BIG4s, multinational company is an advantage
- Experience in HS (tariff) classification, and country of origin Determination.
- Good knowledge of import/ customs regulations, Free Trade Agreements, Rules of Origin, Import Duties, International Regulations
- Excellent report writing and presentation skill to present trade compliance concepts in a technical environment and to persons at all levels, including top management
- Capable of working independently in support of trade compliance objectives and working collaboratively with trade compliance personal and a variety of business functions
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Profile
