Merchandising Manager (Trims)

My client is an international design & manufacturer company focus on textile trimming. They have a small sourcing office around 20 people in HK, and currently looking for a Merchandising Manager focus on whole merchandising process.

Job description

Job Duties:

* Develops and executes merchandising strategies to grow a specified geographic region.
* Works with customers and internal teams (design, development, sales, supply chain and production) to understand account requirements on development and quality.
* Oversees project timelines, deliverables and approval processes.
* Works with factories, sourcing and 3rd parties and match with Company competencies, capabilities and capacities.
* Monitor the product technical specifications, costs and lead time requirements.
* Manage the whole merchandising process from costing, development, quality, production, on time delivery as well as technical issues.


* Bachelor's degree or university certifications and a minimum of 5-10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is a must and ability to work independently.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues affecting customer orders.
* Skills in program/project management required.
* Previous merchandising, sales, customer service or technical experience in embroidery or trimming. Apparel experience preferred.
* Skills in Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Database programs, and Outlook). Skills in Adobe Illustrator preferred.
* Frequent travel to China and customers throughout the Pacific Rim and Europe as well as to the US corporate headquarters.
