Senior Project Manager, Business Performance Management & Analytics

Job description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Manage & deliver E2E inbound supply chain projects or sub elements of larger-scale projects on a local or global level across brands & respective functions within the boundaries of time, cost & quality while focusing on the customers' expectations and requirements. The role will manage a pipeline of opportunities collaborating with SCM, Markets, LSP's, Product teams as well as internal/ external data sources and identify areas that will help adidas improve Supply Chain visibility and decision making in the end-to-end value chain, looking at the right prioritization ensuring maximum output in the areas of,

  • Providing Supply Chain visibility through standardized BI tools
  • Determine & build elements for digital transformation strategy roadmap
  • Fullfil Data Quality improvement needs with Logistics Service Providers
  • Develop Continuous Improvement pipeline (Digitization/Sandardization/ Automation)
  • Onboarding/ Implementation of Service Providers system integration with adidas
  • Lead & Drive key projects related to Target Operating Model transformation
Key Responsibilities:

Analytics & Reporting

  • Drive clear and concise reporting needs, presentations for stakeholders/ senior leaders
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of system landscape & supply chain dynamics so that you can determine how best to support the business through reporting & analytics
  • Responsible for enabling Globla Logistics (GL) Senior Leadership to make fast, effective and data driven decisions through providing BI dahboards, reports, data & analysis.
  • Represent the organization and collaborate with IT partners on system enhancement and data requirements to address reporting & business needs
  • Interact with GL functions & LSPs to understand their KPIs & challenges. Leverage data to drive improvements, transparency and reliable processes.
Project Management

  • Identify opportunities within inbound logistics area as they arise (Standardization, Digitization, Automation & Centralization) and co-plan concept with Senior management.
  • Lead, steer and manage to successfully deliver the assigned global & x-functional projects, end-to-end, ideally through applying project management methodology and with effective communication to project stakeholders including Senior Management.
  • Ensure full understanding of project scope, establishing the business case with potential risks and mitigation plan, raise any project/program scope ambiguities to seek clarity & to be able to design detailed project plans.
  • As conflicts and escalations arise within projects, identify solutions and propose these to project sponsor and support their resolution in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Collect inputs from various stakeholders such as SCM, Markets, Sourcing, Global Functions, LSP's and IT on improvement areas
  • Develop a CI pipeline, align with senior management as well as respective team members on when to deliver what.
  • Think globally and x-functionally in order to identify project dependencies and their impact, raise dependency issues with the project sponsor and co-create solutions.
  • Manage the execution & completion of the defined project plan through effectively leading project team, coordinating resources, and managing project financials.
  • Monitor the project variables (cost, effort, scope, etc.) against the project plan in order to implement corrective or preventative actions.
  • Finalize all activities across projects/programs to formally close & hand over project, ensuring project documents are approved, completed, maintained, stored appropriately.

  • Attract, and develop high performing team, promote team engagement, role model a culture of diversity, equity & inclusion and ensure build-up of required organizational capabilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Pro-active (engaging & result-oriented) mind-set, ability to think end-to-end, process driven
  • Proven ability to interpret and adjust to situations that involve conflicting goals
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced environment meeting tight deadlines with strong sense of urgency
  • Strong experience managing complex global projects/ several projects simultaneously with diverse stakeholders
  • Attention to detail with excellent analytical, communication & influencing skills when interacting with different levels of business
  • Strong data manipulation & modeling skills with MS Excel is required. Familiarity with Power BI, RPA, UI Path and ability to learn new technical tools is a definite asset
  • Market knowledge on 3PL, Transportation & Logistics related providers & networks
  • Fluent English skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree with focus on Supply Chain Management/ related areas/ equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive work experience in mid to large-scale project or program management in the field of logistics / transportation management, relating to transportation and process re-engineering
  • Ideally PMI/Project Management certified.
