Job description

Position Summary

The APAC Information Security Leader (A-ISL) is deployed to bridge the gap between regional security needs and the Under Armour business interests. The Regional Information Security leader is the Cyber Security team's primary point of contact for the APAC region and supports the implementation of a regional Cyber Security program. They will act as a trusted technical advisor, analyze business strategies, work alongside regional IT resources, and will provide advice and oversight to ensure Cyber security is a business enabler for our APAC region.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • A trusted Information Security advisor to Under Armour APAC Business Leadership, IT leadership, HR, Finance, Legal and other UA teammates.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationship with regional Business and IT Leaders.
  • Align with and stay continuously aware of strategic and tactical business plans and related projects.
  • Be a trusted technical security consultant for new projects and program enhancements
  • Ensure ALL projects meet UA's strict Security Engineering/Architecture and Data Security requirements.
  • Maintain a close relationship with the global Architecture Review Board and the Program Management Office
  • Provide an escalation path for Security issues, incidents, and inquiries.
  • Proactively identify non-compliance and areas of potential improvement, while facilitating development and deployment of standardized solutions.
  • Work closely with legal and privacy to identify the risks and issues from complying with APAC data, privacy, cyber security regulations and laws. Propose the technical actions to make brand compliant with local legal IS requirements.
  • Participation as the key IS asset in the critical regional rollout projects for full cycle by collaborating with cross-functional team.
  • Support cyber security awareness and assist with corporate security strategy at the regional level.
  • Drive and coordinate regional resources for Cyber Security related projects.
  • Provide close technical support and coordinate regional resources during Cyber Incident Response.
  • Support the Regional Teammate Security Training, Security Tabletop Exercises (TTX) and other information security related messaging.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Strong relationship, team building and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to translate technical/security issues to business and IT Leadership.
  • Ability to independently influence others to achieve objectives
  • Experience in the information security field, designing and implementing enterprise security solutions in a global context.
  • Experience identifying business risks and recommending business enabling secure solutions.
  • Broad technical understanding related to end-point technologies, application hosting, cloud hosting, SaaS consumption, physical and virtual data center hosting.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to interact with leaders at multiple levels and facilitate team interactions.
  • High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision.
  • Must be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with executive leadership, technologists, and IT team members.
  • Ability to lead multiple project related Security & Privacy risk assessments.
  • Working knowledge of relevant regional regulatory requirements and control frameworks.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and competing agendas without express authority over delivery teams.
  • Experience with working in a matrix model. (Dual reporting relationship)
  • Comprehensive understanding on regional (e.g., China, Korea, SEA) Data, Privacy, Cyber Security laws and regulations are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in English and Mandarin
Education And / Or Experience

  • 8+ years of IT security experience working in an infrastructure or security architecture position / environment.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), CIPP, CISA, or other similar credentials.

  • Location: Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai
  • Return To Work Designation: In Office/Hybrid
  • Travel: 5-10% of the year
