Job description

Position Summary:
- Responsible for the strategic development and executions of Marketing of Estee Lauder in the Asia Pacific region, including both Innovation and Go-to-Markets Activation. Work closely with Regional EL Brand Lead, and New York teams (Global Marketing, Creatives, Promotions, Online, Education, CRM, Special Events/Retail teams) for all aspects of regional marketing and business development
- Drive ESTEE LAUDER Brand growth and image in the Asia-Pacific Business through strong strategies and programs, identify new consumer insights and trends, drive new innovative product launches and re-promote activities as well as creating Brand Experience at every point of consumer interaction
- Lead the teams in the region (Product Marketing & Consumer Marketing teams) with clear vision regarding Brand strategies, programs and activations, as well as develop the individual's capability & performance to achieve that vision Roles & Responsibilities:
ACCOUNTABILITIES: (A) Lead development of Brand strategies and programs (launches, re-promote and events), with integration of strong consumer understanding, learnings, shopper insights and affiliates business drivers
- Make sure NY Global teams provide marketing calendars relevant and strong for the region, taking into consideration cluster specificities
- Lead in Asia/China relevant innovations & messages, communication. Understand key drivers behind consumers, especially mainland Chinese and Japanese
- Lead in marketing plans & brand communication to resonate with Asian consumers and fit Asian media platform needs. Lead top retailers/business plan for key markets
- Lead in product strategy - architecture, pricing, mix, sizes, packaging, new developments
- Collaborate with NY regarding calendarization, sub-categories opportunities, programs fit & effectiveness, creatives & asset needs that best fit APAC
- Lead in all category analysis, including internal/retail sales (B) Manages operational effectiveness & Improve business processes to achieve on-time and impactful execution at every ESTEE LAUDER counter
- Identify regularly what duties some individual markets are doing on their own but should be taken care of regionally or at least shared within the region
- Clearly understand the needs of the markets that are not taken care of properly
- Works with other decision makers in NY and Regional Office (SD/VM, Retail, Education and P.R...) in order to coordinate nicely the key programs of each Fiscal Year
- Makes sure there is on-time delivery of 360 "tool box" package for those program
- Work next to Brand VP in order to make sure Regional Visual Merchandising office is in line with marketing strategies and calendars, also promoting effective use and maximum brand impact for the end consumer (display material for basic and promotional activities)
- In liaison with NY participates actively in consumers U&A Studies in order to understand better the Asian consumers behavior regarding cosmetics
- Make sure proper sampling strategy is in place, following if necessary A&P selling and promo lines expenses regularly
- Validate and follow each promotional activity and dependency of each market
- Lead in sharing Best Practices with "Great News" and creating other follow-up tools
- Supervises and contributes to the roundtable meetings where markets receive bi-annual files with all relevant information to support their business, e.g. launches, promotion, collateral information and assortment update
- Lead in preparation all marketing presentations and materials - creating strong regional PowerPoint templates to be used (and adapted if necessary) by markets before being shown to retailers on brand review & customer performance
- Lead in improving forecast system, with learnings of Best Practices. Lead in assortment strategy for brand, top doors (A/B/C) with country insights
- Work as the link between GBSC and Regional Supply and Demand planning to actively manage the SIOP process, ensuring accurate and adequate forecasts and supply (C) Leads and Develops People
- Promote close team spirit and motivation with One vision
- Manage and enhance team performance by developing individual's capabilities & competencies
- Helps each Marketing Managers to play a leading role within their affiliate regarding implementation on their market of efficient 360 strategies given by the Region


Skills & Requirements:
- University degree, preferably in Sales & Marketing with minimum 10 years solid marketing management experience and proven track record in managing a marketing function
- Minimum 3-5 years working experience in a similar capacity with regional / multi-markets experience (including China), preferably with solid consumers products experience
- Knowledge of Asian Prestige cosmetics market (channel of distribution and competition) and / or in-depth knowledge of Estee Lauder Brand would be an advantage
- Self-starter with strong analytical skills and conceptual marketing skill
- Proven track record of good leadership and management skills who fosters company vision
